My Franco-Flemish
double-manual harpsichord by Peter Fisk is a versatile instrument that excels at
French repertoire such as Rameau and Couperin, sounds clear in virginal music like Byrd,
and transcends styles well in the music of Bach. It suits my tastes very well.
Although the following performance does not necessarily show
this instrument’s natural stylistic habitat, it certainly shows its versatility. The
listener can hear many of the registration colors of which it is capable.
